Ethan Banafsheha, professionally known as bana, is a singer-songwriter and indie recording artist originally from Los Angeles, now based in NYC. Growing up listening to KROQ, artists like Weezer and Sugar Ray shaped his early love for guitar-driven pop and alternative music. Later on, bands like MGMT and Phoenix pushed his sound toward indie and synth-driven pop, while Dominic Fike has been a major influence on his current style. Now living in the East Village, Bana writes and records what he calls “East Village Pop” straight out of his bedroom.
