<p>A vision to heal the world, one song at a time. Since busking on the streets of New York City at the age of 13, that’s all Jeremy Elliot ever had.<br />Years of cultivating his songwriting while playing around New York’s rock club scene would lead him to Los Angeles in his early twenties. Soon after his arrival a chance encounter with one of the world’s biggest producers and songwriters, Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, would help begin writing his next chapter.<br />Over the following few years, Elliot would write songs for the likes of Trey Songz, Matt Nathanson, and Justin Bieber - the latter of whom’s multi-platinum album, Purpose, earned Elliot a GRAMMY nomination. All the while Elliot would continue to develop a one of a kind sound as a solo artist with support from Poo Bear, eventually adding producer DannyBoyStyles (The Weeknd, Beyonce) among others to guide him as he crafted his debut project.</p>

<p>La Herencia is a nine-piece Salsa, Cumbia, and Latin Soul powerhouse based in Long Island, NY. Led by pianist and bandleader Nick Corredor, the group is on a mission to revive the golden era of salsa and bring its infectious rhythms back to the mainstream. Rooted in the sound of Alegre Records and Fania Records, La Herencia blends raw percussion, deep brass, and the elegance of woodwinds and strings to create a groove reminiscent of Eddie Palmieri, Ray Barretto, The Lebrón Brothers, and Willie Colón. Corredor, a Colombian American musician with deep ties to the salsa and Latin music scene, brings a modern edge while staying true to the genre’s rich history. <p>Nancy Atlas and her band of Journeymen have been dominating the East End Music scene or Long Island for quite some time. Known for her raw, live performances and stellar songwriting Nancy and her band, The Nancy Atlas Project, have opened for almost everyone under the sun. To name a few: Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Toots and the Maytals, Jimmy Buffett, Crosby, Stills and Nash… the list goes on and on. The reason is simple. When people want a solid act to open their show and get the crowd warmed up, they call  Nancy and her boys because they know they will deliver. Every time.<br />Nancy grew up with gypsy blood in Commack, NY. Eager to get the buck out of dodge she spent her entire college years abroad at both Cambridge University in England and Richmond College in London and Florence.  She majored in art history, fine art, drinking lots of wine and talking shit. There was a serious recession going on the year she graduated college so instead of becoming a mad advertising executive she walked down to Portabello Road, London, bought a guitar for 60 quid and never looked back. It was pouring buckets of English rain that day so they gave her a black plastic bag to cover her guitar as it didn’t come with a case. Nothing, it is said, can stop true desire.<br />Nancy now lives in Montauk, New York with her husband Thomas and her two sons, Cash and Levon, and her daughter Tallulah. When she is not writing a song or on stage rocking out, she can be found clamming with her kids, surfing with her kids, walking with her kids, reading with her kids or <a href="http://nancyatlas.com/?page_id&#61;285">cartooning</a> for her kids. On rainy days she lazily traces tour maps of Europe with her right hand while sipping her beloved PG Tibs English Tea and smiling out into the East End Mist.</p><blockquote></blockquote>

<h1>The Foundation</h1><p>The Kendall Madison Foundation was formed in 2000 to provide more than just an annual scholarship. The Foundation provides financial contributions to help the East End community such as The Kendall Madison Fitness Center as well as financial assistance to those in need for the purposes of enhancing their student-athlete experience. Over $100,000 has been gifted to individuals and organizations since its inception.</p><h1>The Scholarship Fund</h1><p>The Kendall Madison Scholarship Fund was established in 1995 in memory of Kendall Madison, a model student-athlete who was tragically lost at the age of 21. Kendall was beloved by the East End and UCONN community and the scholarship was created in his honor to reward a male and female student athlete who exemplifies Kendall&#39;s core characteristics of being a role model for the community, not only in sports but community service and academics as well.</p>

<p>LHT Little Head Thinks--cool and down to Earth. the group is located in a perfect place--the Hamptons--for their laid back rap/rock party that they throw while on stage. Putting their fingerprints all over an eclectic mix of covers from the 70&#39;s, 80&#39;s and 90&#39;s while intertwining some of their own catchy originals, LHT keeps the party moving, the drinks flowing and the dance floor packed. LHT has plays regularly at the legendary Stephen Talkhouse as well as other venues in the Hamptons. LHT has lended their talents to benefit Wounded Warriors, The Blue Point Fired Department, as well as local individuals in the community in need of help for medical issues. LHT regularly plays private parties including weddings, providing the perfect atmosphere for any fun party. LHT has shared the stage with Chad Smith, G.E. Smith, and Jimmy Buffet, as well has played shows with Susan Vega, Tribe Called Quest, Paul Simon, and many more.</p>

<p>Black &amp; Yellow is the collaboration of local Hamptons frontman Ray Ramos and renown drummer Julian Edmond, both formerly of the band Hello Brooklyn. The band&#39;s lineup also features NYC-based singer Jason Karnell, who will co-front the band with Ramos. Black&amp;Yellow promises to feature musical selections from the early days of Motown, dance and R&amp;B to hip-hop and chart topping hits today.</p>

<p>When you hear Annie Trezza it&#39;s often hard to believe that all that sound comes out of one person. With groovy guitar riffs, 60&#39;s inspired melodies, and transportive lyrics, she projects an energy well beyond her size. Upon listening to Dylan and Beatles records on repeat at a young age, she felt compelled to pick up a guitar and start writing her own tunes at age 14. She spends her summers playing all around her home in Montauk, NY. In the off-season when she&#39;s not chasing the waves she&#39;s writing new music, and continuing to play anywhere in the world she finds herself. Between her distinctive voice and her poetic lyrics, it&#39;s hard not to get a little carried away when listening to any of her tunes. And that&#39;s okay because that&#39;s exactly what they&#39;re meant to do. With an album to follow, her EP Blue Suitcase #2 was released December 2019.</p>

Four Way Street harmonies are built around three outstanding singers, each bringing unique talent and timbre with meticulous attention to detail that truly make the whole greater than the sum of its parts.</p><p>This five-piece ensemble captures the full dynamic range of the CSNY song catalogue, from the softest ballads to the hardest rockers.  The members of Four Way Street have performed with some of the top bands on Long Island and the tri-state area, including Fast Lane (Eagles), Copperline (James Taylor) and Badlands (Springsteen). <p>Emily Weitz is a Sag Harbor-based singer/songwriter who processes life’s nuances and harnesses our collective power through words and music. Her friends call her M. Liz Joyce brings her bright banjo and Katlyn Albrecht her soulful rhythm to M’s original songs and carefully chosen covers. Their three part harmonies will transport you. With local legend Bosco Michne on lead guitar and bassist extraordinaire Jeff Marshall holding down the low end, this band will have you hanging on the lyrics and moving to the beat. Together, M Takes the Mic uses music as a tool to enjoy the sweetness - and process the struggles - of life. </p>

<p>“We can argue politics and policies, but, at the end of the day, we are bound together beyond these,” shares Americana singer-songwriter Inda Eaton. “I do what I do to connect—music has this great disarming quality—it leads to vulnerability quickly as people lay down their shields.”</p><p>In a career that spans 8 albums in 20 years, and a blur of endless tours, for her latest album, <em>Shelter In Place</em>, Inda opted for once to stay put. The 11-song record was literally tracked in the Springs, New York-based artist’s backyard. In the stillness of the album writing process, she sifted through her scrapbook of travels, and created a Huck Finn-spirited collection of story-rich heartland rock songs brimming with adventure, and personal reflection.</p><p>Inda’s warm humor, free-spirited emotionality, and literate flair make her songs feel as comfy as a favorite pair of jeans. Inda’s vocals have a whiskey and honey-tinged raspy quality that’s both stirring and soothing. Her stories and musings feel instantly resonate. Inda’s songwriting spans fist-pumping anthemics and bucolic balladeering, and it embraces a wide swath of influences, including country, classic rock, folk, and pop.</p><p>Inda’s music has been a global passport, taking her through Latin America, Australia, and Germany in her early years. There, she became something of a charming troubadour, winning over audiences with her quick wit, affable onstage connectivity, and her ability to fuse rousing hooks within a downhome roots-rock sensibility. These formative experiences have served her well in building an engaged following in the U.S.</p><p>Inda has toured in various configurations throughout America, both as a captivating solo performer and a powerful bandleader with a trusted posse of ace musicians. Select live highlights include opening for noted names like John Hiatt, Blues Traveler, Earl Scruggs, Hootie and the Blowfish, LeAnn Rimes, Shemekia Copeland, and Molly Hatchet. Additional performance highlights include tours for American Society of Young Musicians and VH1’s Save the Music Program.</p><p>Inda has been a fixture on the CMJ alternative charts, earned an AFIM “Best Independent Album” nomination, and garnered critical industry acclaim in publications such as <em>Billboard </em>and <em>Relix.</em></p><p>Through it all, her DIY flag has flown majestically. She has her own music publishing company, Skin to the Wind Productions, and Inda has self-produced or co-produced many of her albums.</p><p>In 2010, Inda formally committed to sharing music with younger generations in school music programs with what has become <a href="http://ideastoinspire.org/">Ideas to Inspire™</a>, an arts-fostering organization that works to provide students with creative experiences through music, storytelling and self-expression. When not touring in support of her albums, Inda and her bandmates can be found traveling from one k-12 classroom to another supporting i2i programs across the country.</p><p>For album 8, however, Inda put the brakes on to ponder her winding path, thus far. “The road is a muse for me—the best way to ground ideas for me is a road trip. This album is kind of the shelter to process the trips I’ve been on,” she details.</p><p>Besides geographic travels, <em>Shelter In Place</em> is rife with coming of age themes couched in loss. Also threaded throughout the album is Inda’s multi-layered take on America. Inda was born in California and raised in Wyoming and Arizona, so one could say she deeply feels the heart of the heartland. She’s also a gay woman who married in 2011.</p><p>“I do come from the heartland, and identify so much as an American—it feels like anything is possible here. <p>TAKE 3…OUR HISTORY <br />Lucas Magnozzi started taking guitar lessons with guitarist and musical mentor  Bill Fowkes in 2022. Lucas was 13 and the guitar lessons, over time, turned into jam sessions. Lucas went from being Bill&#39;s guitar student to Bill&#39;s musical partner and future bandmate.</p><p>After 1 year of lessons and a lot of hard work, Lucas was ready for his first gig. In April, 2024 Lucas and Bill performed an acoustic set at a local art gallery. It was a hit! They continued to play gigs at farmers markets, graduation parties, birthday parties, and barbecues.</p><p>In mid 2024, Lucas met Natalia Rahim at  East End Arts, a music and arts program sponsored by The East End Arts Council. There, Natalia and Lucas were members of two different bands. Lucas’ band had just won first place at the Southampton Battle of the Bands and Natalia’s band was runner-up.</p><p>Natalia, Bill and Lucas started rehearsing and TAKE 3 was formed. Natalia became an immediate addition, adding an angelic and wide ranging voice to the duo of Bill and Lucas. The band started performing at private parties, and music store events on the East End of Long Island.</p><p>TAKE 3 blends the guitar skills of 16 year old Lucas Magnozzi with the musicianship and musical experience of guitarist Bill Fowkes and the smooth and versatile voice of Natalia Rahim. TAKE 3 plays the songs that span many decades of rock n roll for a musical nite to remember.</p><p>The magic behind TAKE 3 is that the band reinterprets rock n roll songs that you have heard countless times. The arrangements are for two acoustic guitars and a female voice. The songs incorporate bass lines, jazz chords, lead playing and innovative vocals and harmonies. The net effect is that the interplay between the guitars and vocals is very prominent. The three musician format makes the songs transparent, light and musical….all the while still keeping the groove. Because if it doesn’t groove, they don’t play it!</p>

<p>Cat Clyde’s 3rd album is a wonder of deeply felt songwriting, a record that finds the Canadian singer-songwriter marveling at what’s around her while considering her own place within it all. With ten songs on the album, Down Rounder possesses an intimate and personal feel, transporting the listener to the recording studio as she performs these hair-raising tunes with confidence and passion. It’s a strong step forward as a songwriter and musician, as well as an immensely satisfying record for anyone looking to connect the loose threads between themselves and the outside world.</p><p>Work on Clyde’s follow-up to 2019’s spellbinding Hunters Trance began in her Quebec home studio in 2020, with plans to self-produce the record with her partner Strummer Jasson, in their cabin residence—recording was unexpectedly halted after an encroaching mold issue upended plans entirely. “It was difficult,” she recalls, “We were trudging forward, and it all fell apart. It was disappointing.” After moving out and returning back home, Clyde got in touch with producer Tony Berg. As the pair went through the finished material, they stripped back the songs once more, carefully digging into the details of everything. “I really learned a lot and enjoyed the experience,” Clyde recalls. “He gave me a lot of new tools and inspiration to connect more deeply to my songwriting and guitar playing.”</p><p>Berg’s schedule lined up with only a week’s notice in Los Angeles’ famed Sound City studios to lay down the entirety of Down Rounder in six days flat. “The musicians he brought in were really in tune with me right away,” she explains. “I feel I’ve really grown in my writing, and after struggling with collaboration in the past it felt good to really create with others while maintaining my own clear vision. I wanted these songs to have a live feel, because it was about capturing a moment to me.” Indeed, the record sounds both lively and lived-in, with Clyde’s malleable singing voice—spanning an appealing twang to a lovely, plaintive croon and anywhere in between—espousing an essential connection between our spiritual center and the natural world that surrounds us.</p><p>“Connecting with the natural environment around me inspired a lot of these songs, and sonically I feel like this record is very grounded as a result,” Clyde says while talking about the album’s thematic bend. “I wanted these songs to sound raw and rough, but also placed-together in a way that created—a simple beauty, like the changing seasons or a setting sun.” Keeping that bucolic perspective also drove the decision to include “I Feel It” and “The Gloom,” two songs whose recordings date back to the early Quebec sessions: “I wanted to still have that isolated perspective somewhere in the album, and those recordings still came together within the larger whole, too.”</p><p>The result is an album that stands as a crown jewel in a career that already includes millions of monthly streams across multiple platforms and placements on over 40 Spotify editorial playlists. On the expansive first single “Mystic Light,” Clyde takes on existential matters over chiming bells and an open-hearted melodic structure. “It’s a song about wanting to understand my journey and purpose,” she explains while talking about the song. “I’m exploring feelings of adriftness, asking for the mystery or magic of life to show her face so I can remember what it’s all for.”</p><p>Featuring lyrics that address the feeling of overstimulation and being emotionally overwhelmed, the bare and haunting second single “I Feel It” also marks the first time Clyde has played piano on recording. “I felt a bit nervous about playing the piano because I don’t see myself as a very strong player,” she states regarding the decision, “but it felt like it was just what the song needed.” And the driving third single “Papa Took My Totems” finds Clyde reflecting on the ravaging effects of colonialism, the state of the environment, and masculine-dominated society at large. “There’s a lot of sacredness that’s being destroyed in the world, and that’s difficult to deal with sometimes,” she explains. “Totems, to me, feel like places and things that are important and real, to witness the destruction of things like that is devastating”.</p><p>Over the breezy sway of the opening track and final single “Everywhere I Go,” Clyde ruminates on “letting go of things no longer needed, while keeping hold of things you hold true.” And Down Rounder indeed sounds like the work of someone who’s found themselves artistically and holistically, while extending a hand to any listener who wants to follow Clyde on her singular and thrilling path. But it’s also represents a bold leap forward for her as a nourishing and essential voice in todays musical landscape</p>

<p>Hudson Freeman is a brooklyn-based Lofi-folk artist, inspired and forged by the DIY<br />midwest. The 27-year-old Freeman continues to record and perform songs equal-parts<br />resonant, reflective, and poignant. He has quickly emerged as one of indie&#39;s most<br />enthralling new voices. His recent full-length, is a Folk Artist, helped solidify his<br />presence as the kind of songwriter unafraid to tackle life&#39;s most draining contradictions:<br />modern identity, digital disconnection, and faith.<br />Born to Evangelical missionaries, Hudson started writing songs upon a radical break at<br />the age of thirteen when his family suddenly moved from the suburbs of Dallas to The<br />Kingdom of Eswatini. The profound influence of indie big-hitters like Sufjan Stevens and<br />Bon Iver as well as college years spent in Springfield, Missouri made a do-it-yourself<br />midwesterner out of Hudson. Now, his new song &#34;If You Know Me&#34; has recently started<br />drawing in attention from the masses, catapulting Freeman into a wider spotlight than<br />ever. A collage of reworked demos, freewheeling session standouts, and swatches of instrumental electronics, into a pretty room emerges as lots of hands’ most thoughtful work to-date. Solemn yet hopeful, into a pretty room occupies the space between moments of tragedy and triumph, offering a touching rumination on grief and loss, growing up and letting go.</p><p>Billy Woodhouse and Elliot Dryden, the core duo behind lots of hands, first connected in a Newcastle school music program at age 16. At that point, Woodhouse had been tinkering with lots of hands as a solo musical outlet, self-releasing music on Soundcloud and quietly beginning work on 2020’s mistake. Shortly before that record’s release, Dryden properly joined lots of hands, an effort which was quickly thwarted by global circumstances outside of anyone’s purview. Separated by geography and global chaos, Woodhouse and Dryden began work on lots of hands remotely, exchanging demos online to craft what would become 2021’s largely instrumental there’s someone in this room just like you, and 2023’s cult favorite fantasy. into a pretty room marks the duo’s first truly collaborative effort, with Dryden often trekking the vast northern English countryside to write and record in Woodhouse’s bedroom studio.</p><p>Between pints of beer and rounds of Fortnite, the two slowly chipped away at into a pretty room, whose name is lifted from a pair of demos recorded and released in a short span across November of 2023. The earnest tenderness of these tracks — “into a pretty room” and “the rain”, which appear newly re-recorded for the album — served as guiding light while the duo self-engineered the remainder of into a pretty room. Alongside these newly recorded songs appear Dryden’s unearthed demos, mined and reworked by Woodhouse. Lead single “game of zeroes” puts Dryden front and center on a Hank Williams-inspired ode to coming up short. &#34;I play a game of zeroes,&#34; he sings atop acoustic guitar, piano and digital frills, &#34;Everyone but me will always win.&#34; Elsewhere, “masquerade” interrogates defense mechanisms through electronic-speckled indie folk that is both jaded and joyful.</p><p>Dryden’s tracks appear alongside Woodhouse’s own songs, which span from touching instrumentals written for family, meant to help usher them through a chapter of monumental loss, to whispered ballads sung with loved ones. “All of my friends agree, you’re in my head,” Woodhouse intones alongside close collaborator and former roommate Mage Tears, “in my head with me.” On the understated late album stunner, “run your mouth,” he imagines a lost one as “a bunch of stars,” and ends the song fixated on “thoughts and memories of us.” Woodhouse’s contributions across into a pretty room ache with loss, but settle gracefully into sparkling ambient sonics that propel the record on its trajectory of self-discovery and acceptance. “Death is just a word, the feelings a reminder of past nights in the cold,” he filters through pitch corrected vocals on “the rain,” before sighing a resigned “oh well.”</p><p>These individually conceived tracks passed back and forth between the duo, as they ventured into their first moments of writing in the same place at the same time. “backseat 30” is the duo’s first joint venture, and the most immediate song in their discography, transforming youthful anxieties into an explosive anthem. &#34;I don&#39;t wanna waste my life up,&#34; Woodhouse manifests atop layers of twangy and kinetic instrumentation, &#34;hitting the backseat 30, talking with the dogs and the birdies, getting my nails all dirty.&#34; Early album centerpiece, “barnyard,” marks another proper collaboration on the record, with Woodhouse and Dryden’s vocals intertwining and reflecting a quiet sadness as looped guitars swirl in a pool of sparkling instrumentation: “I’ll brush your hair through a nightmare, breathing in the country air.”</p><p>Newly relocated from Leeds to their current base of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, lots of hands is anchored by the duo’s friendship, which emanates across the album’s 14 tracks. While conceived across painful moments of growth and grief, into a pretty room is a decidedly hopeful effort, crafted between two friends who have spent the better part of the last decade supporting each other through life’s challenges.</p></div></div></div>

Growing up with music teachers as parents, Silas was surrounded by music throughout his whole childhood as well as his adult life. During COVID, Silas fell in love with the Grateful Dead and the guitar at the same time and discovered a love for music like never before. During the end of his high school years and throughout his college education he started to write songs that identified with the many aspects of emotion that love can bring. After recording and self-producing his own album and gigging in the Hamptons for 2 years now, he’s excited to bring to you a night of acoustic music filled with originals, older favorites and some songs rarely played on acoustic guitars.</p>

<p>The Dog Watchers formed in 2015 from the remnants of various east end musical projects. The band consists entirely of local musicians from around East Hampton and Sag Harbor. Focusing on a broad range of covers from the golden age of the 60&#39;s &amp; 70&#39;s, as well newer material. The goal is to surprise and entertain with songs you know &amp; love, ones you may have not heard in a while along with ones that may be new to you. The band members are Michael Rusinsky on Lead Vocals and Guitar, Anthony Liberatore on Vocals and Guitar, Toby VanKeuren on Drums and Bob Charney on Bass. There were frequently dogs present in the studio during rehearsals and that&#39;s how the band got it&#39;s name. Repertoire includes songs from The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, The Grateful Dead, Van Morrison, Springsteen, The Decemberists, Steve Earle, The Band and many more. The band has played various venues all over the east end including The Stephen Talkhouse, Guild Hall as well as numerous private parties and benefits. </p>

There’s a deep sense of wanderlust baked into every groove — part spaghetti western, part funk exotica, with twangy guitars that slither like snakes through a desert bazaar.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">New Orleans-based Gitkin, also known as Brian J, a Grammy-nominated artist and producer renowned for his production skills (working with Cedric Burnside, Bab L’ Bluz, Bernard Purdie, Cyril Neville) and as the mastermind behind the funk ensemble Pimps Of Joytime, is experiencing surprising success with this passion project.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">With monthly streams surpassing 300,000, Gitkin’s three self-produced studio albums have struck a global chord. In 2022, fueled by his growing streaming and social media momentum, he assembled a live trio featuring Palestinian multi-instrumentalist Simon Moushabeck (keys, accordion, percussion) and Cuban-American drummer Washington Duke. Together, they breathe new life and dimension into Gitkin’s recorded material. Since then, the group has toured across the U.S., Germany, the U.K., the Netherlands, France, and Austria—selling out multiple shows along the way. With Gitkin, I get to bring in my love for African, Middle Eastern, and South American music and mix it with my native musicality that sits in American blues and funk. Performing as a trio with my two talented compadres provides a lot of space in the music that opens the door for what I like to call &#34;expensive moments.&#34; My favorite moments of a show don&#39;t usually happen by somebody playing something fast and impressive. More often it’s when a palpable essence takes over the room — you feel it, and you know everyone in the spot feels it. That&#39;s what keeps me getting in vans and planes and putting in endless hours in the studio.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight:400">In 2025, Gitkin released a run of singles—including the standouts “Paterson Switchback,” the cinematic “Motel Moon,” and the hypnotic “El Chambre”—each one expanding his audience and deepening his signature sound. Now, in collaboration with the Brooklyn-based label Wonderwheel Recordings, Gitkin is preparing the release of a new full-length album, with the first single rolling out in January 2026. The year will also bring a slate of U.S. shows and a European festival tour in July, marking a new chapter in Gitkin’s evolving sonic journey.</span></p>

<p>For over 50 years Black Uhuru has remained one of the most popular recognized prolific reggae band from Jamaica. The living legends have earned several achievements in the music industry including winning the first ever Grammy Award for reggae music. They’re long success along with having the highest reggae record sales after Bob Marley &amp; the most songs sampled by other artist over the years has allowed them to become Ambassadors of reggae. </p><p>The roots of Black Uhuru formed in Kingston’s “Waterhouse” District in the late 60’s. It is the home of founder &amp; leader Derrick “Duckie” Simpson along with all the rest of the singers from the group. The original Uhuru’s Swahili for “freedom” were Duckie, Don Carlos &amp; Garth Dennis. The first song was a Curtis Mayfield cover of “Folk Song”. They made only a couple more songs before Don left to pursue a solo career &amp; Garth joined Wailing Souls. The two were replaced by Michael Rose &amp; Errol Nelson both from Waterhouse. They recorded the debut album “Love Crises” in 1977 for Prince Jammy later re-released as “Black Sounds of Freedom”. Errol later left the group to join the Jays &amp; was replaced by female singer Puma Jones. </p><p>This new line-up is when the band began to collaborate with Sly &amp; Robbie &amp; developed the “classic Uhuru” sound of the 80’s. A unique style full of heavy drum &amp; bass, sharp keys, loud guitar riffs &amp; long instrumentals filled with whirly background effects &amp; the signature “wow oh-oh oh’s” echo. It was during this period they signed with Island Records. They began touring internationally &amp; started receiving worldwide attention. They recorded some of their most popular albums like “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner” “Sensimelia” &amp; “Chill Out”. The album “Red” was voted #23 for Rolling Stone Magazine list of 100 greatest albums of the 80’s. And history was made when they won reggae’s first grammy award in 1984 for the album “Anthem”. Shortly after the grammy Michael left the group to go solo. </p><p>Another Waterhouse resident named Junior Reid became the new lead singer. Two albums were released “Brutal” nominated for grammy &amp; “Positive” with Ras Records. These albums included popular hits like “Dreadlocks on the Mountain” “Fit You Haffi Fit” &amp; one of the groups first music videos “Great Train Robbery”. Sadly due to ill health Puma passed away in 1990. Around this time Jr. Reid was having visa issues unable to tour. </p><p>During the mid 90’s the original members reunited. Four albums were released “Now”, “Iron”, Storm”, “Mystical Truth” &amp; “Strongg” all nominated for grammy. They made an award-winning music video for “Tip of the Iceberg” that featured rap star Ice-T &amp; another video for “One Love” featuring Louie Rankin. They performed live on television for VH1 a cover version of Jimmy Hendrix “Hey Joe”. In 1994 they won the Diamonds Awards for Excellence. Unfortunately, the group began to dispute over band legal rights &amp; went to court in the late 90’s. Duckie won the rights to the name. </p><p>As the new millennium approached Duckie found Andrew Bee’s once again from Waterhouse. Bee’s first tour with the band was in 1996 in Brazil. They released two albums “Unification” in 1998 &amp; “Dynasty” in 2001. In 2002 they reunited with Sly &amp; Robbie for an international world tour &amp; released a live album/dvd “Dubbin it Live”. The group resurfaced in 2010 &amp; has been touring extensively throughout Europe, South America &amp; the United States. In 2012 they performed in a Broadway musical in Los Angeles called “Loving the Silent Tears”. In 2013 Duckie was awarded a lifetime achievement award from the IRWMA. In 2017 they released a new single &amp; music video “Jah Guide” a Peter Tosh tribute that featured Bugle.</p><p>In 2018 Black Uhuru released “As The World Turns” the newest album after 15 years. It was nominated for “Best Reggae Album” at the 61st Grammy Awards. For the first time it featured Duckie on lead for the entire album. To support the album the band headed on a major US Tour &amp; Hawaii. During the East Coast leg of the tour they appeared live on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series where they performed a new single “I See You” taken from the “Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica Reloaded” album produced by Sean Edwards of Contractor Music. Two music videos &#34;Chalice&#34; &amp; &#34;War Crime&#34; were filmed by Benji Cooper for the album both featured on Reggaeville. </p><p>Right before the pandemic Black Uhuru went on a small West Coast Tour with Dylan&#39;s Dharma &amp; Etana where they performed at the One Love Festival in Long Beach. During the &#34;lock-down&#34; the band was idle all of 2020. Duckie did one live stream performance for Kumar&#39;s Kulture Walk St. Bess live video stream series during reggae month. </p><p>In 2021 Black Uhuru released a new single &#34;Jamaica to Here&#34; mixed by Shaquille &#34;Skunga&#34; Kong, &#34;Med Dread&#34; &amp; Mark &#34;Jah Servant&#34; Giles. Early this year in 2022 Black Uhuru just released a new full length album titled &#34;New Day&#34; &amp; music video for &#34;Brand New Day&#34; that features the members of Dylan&#39;s Dharma band. Partnering with Law Records the album was produced by King Hopeton at his Double Lion Studio in Helltown California &amp; mixed by Jermaine &#34;Ajang&#34; Forde with Dylan&#39;s Dharma band as the Executive Producers.Three music videos were made for the album &#34;Top Ranking&#34;, &#34;Gal Next Door&#34; &amp; the title track &#34;New Day&#34; all filmed by King Hopeton. </p><p>After the Pandemic Black Uhuru got back on the road in 2022. Starting with a small West Coast US Tour with Dlyan&#39;s Dharma in the Spring. Then in the Summer they headlined the Puerto Rico Reggae Festival at the Tito Puente Amphitheater. And finished a major US Tour in the Fall. </p><p>In 2023 Duckie released a new track titled &#34;Teaching of his Majesty&#34; that features Jah Mason from Boxy Records. Black Uhuru went on one small US West Coast Tour &amp; headlined the Truckee Reggae Fest. </p>

Raye earned a degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan, studying under Grammy Award-winning artist George Shirley. Her original music showcases her classical training while incorporating modern pop and R&amp;B elements. <p>What goes around comes around, and nearly 25 years since their founding in Denton, Texas, multi-Platinum country band Eli Young Band have come home.</p><p>Led by an unmistakable vocal and bringing a Texas-rock edge to modern country, the never-changing lineup of Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones, and Chris Thompson have spent two-plus decades on the run, growing from hometown heroes into globe-trotting, chart-topping pioneers. Yet in all that time, EYB never forgot its raising, and today the foursome reclaim the spirit behind their success.</p><p>Returning to their independent roots, the bold creative defiance that launched them into the mainstream – and in many ways to their old stomping grounds – it’s a new chapter driven by experience and a million miles of wisdom, from a band of brothers still very much in their prime.</p><p>“We started this thing when we were like 20 years old, and it’s been such a crazy road and such a longer road than any of us could have conceptualized at the time,” says Jones. “I think right now feels a little full circle, in a really nice way.”</p><p>“Now, we get to step back into our Texas shoes,” Eli agrees. “I think this new stuff finds us reaching deep into our past as a band. We’re remembering where the magic was – all those songs we wanted to record for our <em>Level</em> record, that felt way too edgy for Country Radio at the time.”</p><p>Indeed, after becoming icons of Texas’ vibrant college-bar scene – and then packing arenas all over the state (without label support) – that <em>Level</em> album from 2005 landed like a live wire, injecting EYB into the mainstream. They followed in 2008 with their Gold-certified breakout “Always the Love Songs” and <em>Jet Black &amp; Jealous,</em> one of three career Billboard Top 5 albums which include the Number One <em>10,000 Town</em>s and Platinum <em>Life At Best</em>.</p><p>Likewise, back-to-back Number One singles came with the 5X Platinum “Crazy Girl” in 2011 and 3X Platinum “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” (2012), plus the Platinum Number One “Drunk Last Night” and 2X Platinum Number One “Love Ain’t” after that. All along they kept the intensity of their live shows front and center, and with a following which now includes more than 1.4 million Facebook followers, 2.2 million monthly Spotify listeners and more, it’s time to get back to the point.</p><p>Ready to follow up 2022’s <em>Love Talking</em>, the band have returned to Panhandle House Studio in their hometown of Denton – the same studio where <em>Level</em> was born – bringing new tunes and new excitement along with them. All co-written as a band or with long-trusted collaborators, a fresh batch of songs return EYB to the raw, grassroots energy and emotional sting of their early work, geared for the stage and recorded without digital tricks.</p><p>For the band, being independent again for the first time in years isn’t a challenge, it’s a reward – and they took the chance to embrace not just renewed creative freedom, but the fun of their self contained live-band philosophy.</p><p>“Going back to Panhandle House where we recorded <em>Level</em>, it feels like we got to remind ourselves why we started making the kind of music we make,” Eli says. “When this music comes out, I think fans will know it is 100% coming from us.”</p><p>“Honestly, going to Panhandle House feels like going back to your childhood house in a way,” Jones notes. “It just evokes these memories, like this slightly-younger version of ourselves comes out.”</p><p>“One thing that’s really special is we’ve come full circle and remember that energy, but we’re also older and wiser,” Thompson adds. “We have years of studio, songwriting and performing experience under our belt, so we have more of a honed edge going in. That’s a really cool advantage.”</p><p>The comfort level is plainly evident. Exploring new corners of their patented sound by day, and going home to their families each night, the band were free to bring every ounce of the last 25 years to bear. Tracks like the lead single “Home In Hometown” are proof, featuring all the elements that made EYB what it is – from the electric vocal delivery to the deeply textured sonics and soulful theme.</p><p>A true-to-experience ballad of life on the highway, “Home In Hometown” stands as a heart-on-their-sleeve tribute to those the band loves most – and what they’ve learned from 20&#43; years away. There’s nobody saying, ‘Maybe you should do this, maybe you should push that,’” Eli explains.</p><p>“Yeah, we’ve got no one to blame,” Jones adds with a laugh. “Honestly, we just want people to know we still absolutely love making music, and this comes from a place of passion. Life is good and we’ve got stuff to say, we’ve got this thing we’ve built. I feel like we’re in a good place.”</p>

<p>On her tenth studio album, the masterful <em>Trouble and Strife</em>, Joan Osborne has issued a clarion call. With stunning vocals, a diverse range of sonics, and incisive lyrics, this deeply engaging collection of new original songs is her response to “the crazy, chaotic times we’re living in,” she says, and “a recognition of the important role music has to play in this moment. Music has a unique ability to re-energize people and allow us to continue to hang on to that sense of joy of being alive.” </p><p>Since she broke through 25 years ago with the multi-platinum <em>Relish</em> and its touchstone mega-smash “One of Us,” the seven-time Grammy nominee has never played it safe. Osborne has followed her restless musical heart, exploring a diverse range of genres: pop rock, soul, R&amp;B, blues, roots rock, gospel, funk, and country – all of which can be heard on <em>Trouble and Strife</em>, along with the Western side of C&amp;W <em>and</em> a touch of glam and disco. “For a lot of the record, we were going for a ‘70s AM radio vibe,” says Osborne.  As for the lyrics, the songs “are the most political I’ve ever written,” she conveys of her first album of originals since 2014’s confessional <em>Love and Hate</em>.  Osborne also produced <em>Trouble and Strife</em>, primarily recorded in her basement studio in Brooklyn and released on the label she founded in 1991, Womanly Hips. </p><p>Tackling serious subject matter in her writing while crafting music to “uplift,” Osborne assembled “a great live band” (including several musicians who played on her acclaimed last album, <em>Songs of Bob Dylan</em>): guitarists Jack Petruzzelli , Nels Cline, and Andrew Carillo, keyboardist Keith Cotton, bassist Richard Hammond,  and drummer Aaron Comess. For vocal harmonies, she enlisted exquisite vocalists Catherine Russell, Ada Dyer, Martha Redbone, and Audrey Martells, whom she’s “had the great privilege to work with over many years.”  The result is a Trojan horse of a record – music that is energizing, melodic, and hummable, with lyrics that call out the corrupt, the despicable, and the destructive. </p><p>Roots-rockin’ opener “Take It Any Way I Can Get It” inspires with the mandate “I’m still survivin’/I got to be dancin’”, propelled by a joyous gospel-tinged vocal attack backed by Wurlitzer and Southern-style intertwined guitars that dare you to sit still.  She cowrote the funky “Never Get Tired (of Loving You)” with Richard Hammond and her partner Keith Cotton, propelled by Cotton’s Prophet 6 synth, for her teenaged daughter: a message of stability in an uncertain world. “That song has a serious subtext,” says Osborne, but its “cool, retro flavor hopefully makes it a joyful thing.” The gorgeous ballad “Whole Wide World” finds Osborne hitting impossibly high notes, its sound inspired by the Chi-Lites; its message “is about hanging on to hope and envisioning something better for the future.” Another early ‘70s sound infuses the super-catchy “Boy Dontcha Know”: Osborne’s purring vocals are surrounded by a Spiders from Mars-era piano and Big Star-esque Mando-guitar; its singalong lyrics look at gender nonconformity and the obstacles one faces when born female.  </p><p>Abuse of power is the subject of two of the angriest songs on <em>Trouble and Strife</em>, with their infectious sound imbuing the songs a la a wolf in sheep’s clothing: the bluesy stomp “Hands Off,” punctuated by distinctive guitar riffs, denounces corrupt exploiters of people and the planet.  “That Was a Lie,” with scornful lyrics buffeted by buoyant pop rock, castigates “those camera-ready mouthpieces for corrupt officials,” according to Osborne. </p><p>Texan Ana Maria Rea, whose family emigrated to America when she was a child, contributed spoken passages in her native tongue to the rhythmic “What’s That You Say.”  “She tells the story of her family coming from Mexico City, where her father had been kidnapped, to the U.S. and how difficult that was,” says Osborne. “Her message is ‘I’m not afraid,’ and her mission is to help other people who are in the same position she was in. Ana Maria is a shining light of a person.”</p><p>Escape from a place where “there’s nothin’ left alive” drives Osborne to “Panama,” a showcase of her vocal range expressing gut-punch lyrics reminiscent of Dylan at his most vitriolic. But it is the Western-flavored title track that Osborne points to as the song most inspired by her “Dylanology” concerts that began in 2016 and led to her 2018 covers album,  “If you spend that intensive time living with his songs, I think it just rubs off on you,” Osborne admits. “’Trouble and Strife’ betrays the Dylan influence the most because of the odd characters coming in and out of these absurd situations (much like the ones we find ourselves in today).” </p><p>Osborne’s years of experience as a seasoned road warrior are reflected throughout <em>Trouble and Strife</em>, the album. <p>Steve Earle is one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters of his generation. A protege of<br />legendary songwriters Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, he quickly became a master storyteller<br />in his own right, with his songs being recorded by Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Joan Baez,<br />Emmylou Harris, The Pretenders, and countless others. 1986 saw the release of his record,<br />Guitar Town, which shot to number one on the country charts and is now regarded as a classic<br />of the Americana genre. Most recently, Earle’s 1988 hit Copperhead Road was made an official<br />state song of Tennessee in 2023.<br />Subsequent releases like The Revolution Starts...Now (2004), Washington Square Serenade<br />(2007), and TOWNES (2009) received consecutive GRAMMY® Awards. Jerry Jeff, released in<br />2022, consisted of Earle’s versions of songs written by Jerry Jeff Walker, one of his mentors.<br />Earle has published both a novel I’ll Never Get Out of This World Alive (Houghton Mifflin<br />Harcourt 2011) and Dog House Roses, a collection of short stories (Houghton Mifflin 2003).<br />Earle produced albums for other artists such as Joan Baez (Day After Tomorrow) and Lucinda<br />Williams (Car Wheels on A Gravel Road)<br />As an actor, Earle has appeared in several films and had recurring roles in the HBO series The<br />Wire and Tremé. In 2009, Earle appeared in the off-Broadway play Samara, for which he also<br />wrote a score that The New York Times described as “exquisitely subliminal.” Earle wrote music<br />for and appeared in Coal Country, for which he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award. Earle is<br />the host of the weekly show Hard Core Troubadour on Sirius Radio’s Outlaw Country channel.<br />In 2020, Earle was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. And in 2023, Steve was<br />honored by the Bruce Springsteen Archives &amp; Center for American Music. Steve’s latest album,<br />“Alone Again (Live)”, released on July 12th, 2024. Most recently, Steve was honored with an<br />invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry and was officially inducted on September 17th, 2025.</p>
