No Sailor w/ Alex Prezzano opening
No Sailor
No Sailor is an indie folk collective known for their heartfelt songwriting, soaring violin melodies, and raw live energy. Led by singer-songwriter Kieran Garvey, their fun approach to folk has been described as "heartwarming and authentic” and "destined for the stages of Newport Folk Festival.” Their energetic live show has earned them comparisons to The Head And The Heart, The Lumineers, and Bob Dylan. Garvey’s earnest songwriting, paired with a semi-classical band, has a profound way of playing on your heart strings — from the exuberance of ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors,’ to the melancholic strings on ‘Wedding Cake,’ their songs arc from euphoric folk rock to confessional orchestral ballads.
With deep roots in the East End music scene, the band shot their latest music video for ‘Clear Your Head’ in Sag Harbor, and features landmarks like the Sag Harbor Cinema and the historic Sag Harbor Variety Store. Their next single ‘A New Map,’ is a raucous anthem and will be premiered at their show at The Stephen Talkhouse on May 27th.
