At an early age, Matty was drawn to the guitar after hearing Chuck Berry's Johny B. Goode, and then Hendrix' Watchtower. He was reassured of his love for guitar after hearing BB, Albert, and Freddie King. Also Muddy Waters, John L. Hooker, Hubert Sumlin, and Johny Winter. Then SRV's Texas Flood, and Matty was forced by strong emotion to try and mimmick the sounds pouring out of the beat up strat. These days Matty has a 3-piece band of his own, plays his music in great respect to those mentioned above, and tries in his own way to carry on a great musical form. Dig these blues.
